Positive People: Growing Up, Gifted & Gay

Positive People: Growing Up, Gifted & Gay

After recently pointing out what’s so positive about Irish entertainer Graham Norton, you might be surprised to hear that once again I’ve chosen to highlight and celebrate the qualities of a gay man. As straight as I am, my respects will never stop being paid to any people who have lived unnecessarily difficult lives within the LGBT community. Stick It in Your Head, Joe – It’s Time to Network

If I’m going to make this website work, then it’s time for a good chat. With Michael Caine, Morgan Freedom, Jack Whitehall, Gemma Whelan and Take That sitting on the sofa through the night, I enjoyed another entertaining night of…

Badly Written? Why I’m an ‘Epileptic Man’, but not an ‘Epileptic’.

After looking at what’s been written about offensive terms online, I know that some readers will agree with this post, and some people won’t. As handy as it as an adjective, I believe I was working with Epilepsy Action when it was explained why ‘epileptic’ shouldn’t be used as a noun. I understood what was said, and since then have been willing to correct any examples of the term used incorrectly.
